Christmas this year was slightly different from the previous years. I can say that it's a whole new experience because of choir? (: This year, I had the opportunity to sing some Christmas Carols with my beloved choir members at Roxy Mercure Hotel.
Personally, I find it a very unique experience. It's the first Carolling which I'm involved in, and moreover, a hotel.
Of course, I was super excited although the trip from my house to the hotel took me about 1.5 hrs. CCK --> Marine parade. Singapore may be small but travelling from West to East (?) can be crazy.
The dress code for Carolling Day 1 was black dress for the girls.
Day 1
I surprisingly reached on time... but many choir members were late. We were all updating each other about our whereabouts on the group chat.
And to our horror, one of the members went to the school instead of the hotel. -FACEPALM-
I immediately texted our teacher in charge and the teacher was like "omg, I'm speechless." HAHAHA. I couldn't help it but reply her with a "SOTONG" emoji. xD
After which, the hotel staff brought us up to our own private room to do our warm up and have our dinner.
Halfway through our warm up, that guy who went to school came in the room. Thank goodness he reached on time, else the poor Alto will have one less member.
We then rehearsed the Carols and went downstairs for soundcheck. The audience there were mostly tourists staying in the hotels. So I wasn't exactly very nervous because, afterall, we gonna perform and probably won't see them again? xD
Dinner

Well, that was one pretty unglam shot LOL |
After dinner, we rehearsed the Carols one last time before heading down for session one (7 P.M.) of our performance. This time, for some reasons, I was a little bit more nervous because the crowd was bigger. Was even more nervous when Shaun said "hello all, we are from Innova junior college....".
But the anxiety only lasted less than 1 minute. xD
The Carols we sang are:
1) The first Noel (My favourite!!!)
2) When you believe
3) Medley of christmas songs
To be very frank, we didn't perform very well for session one. We messed up a couple of times. For instance, we went sharper nearing the end of the song "When you believe".
But what's done can't be undone. What we could do was to perform better for the other 3 sessions.
Here are some other photos we took during the "intermission" between the first and second sessions.

That's my very awesome choir president haha |
The second session started at 8 P.M. Again, we went down. This time, the performance was slightly better. A small improvement is still an improvement.
Day 2
Day 2 was pretty much the same, hence I shall not be talking too much about it. ((More pics instead)) The only exception was that day 2 was a more angelic day for the girls. Dress code was white dress.
Oh yes. And this one I must talk about it HAHA. Because of this crazy president who kept selfie-ing in toilet, we kinda lost track of time. And when we went back to the private room, everyone already gathered downstairs. The teacher was like "where were you girls?" And this crazy woman just told her that I had my period. X:

While I was having fun with my choir, my family members were also having much fun at my cousin's place. my cousin threw at christmas party at her new house this year.
My father rushed to drive me to her place right after Carolling.
